About Rodney King
Rodney King Cudjoe is a Ghanaian-born, UK-based music producer, publisher, and cultural innovator with over 25 years of experience in the global music industry. As the founder of RKMG (Rodney King Music Group) and Asasease Records, he has played a significant role in shaping the modern sound of Afrobeats, Reggae, and Dancehall.
Rodney has worked with some of Africa’s most influential artists, including Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and Mugeez, contributing to the growth and global recognition of contemporary African music. His early production work includes contributions to Samini’s acclaimed albums Dagaati (2008), C.E.O (2010), and Untamed (2018)—all of which won Album of the Year in Ghana.
Through RKMG Publishing, Rodney has developed one of the largest independent Black music catalogs in West Africa while continuing to support and empower independent artists worldwide.
Beyond music production, Rodney is also a visual storyteller and creative director, translating sound into powerful visual experiences through art, design, photography, and digital media.
Expanding his vision beyond music, Rodney is the creator of AfroVault, a financial infrastructure platform designed for the African creator economy. AfroVault aggregates earnings from streaming platforms, social media, and music rights organizations into a single creator wallet—allowing artists to track, split, and withdraw revenue globally.
Rodney is also the creator of The Ananse Universe, a storytelling project inspired by African folklore and cultural heritage. The first book in the series, “The Boy Who Lives Above The Stars”, is part of the Global Community Literacy Project, aimed at inspiring creativity, imagination, and literacy among young readers around the world.

From 2014 to 2019, he served as Creative Director and CEO of the Ghana Branch of Global Harmony Charity UK, where he led youth empowerment initiatives, artist development programs, community outreach projects, and cultural events.
